Every year, 50,000 children are born with sickle cell disease in the DRC, a genetic disorder. It's a long and arduous battle. In Kinshasa, a hospital offers awareness sessions and support for people with sickle cell disease. For a long time, the life expectancy of those affected was short, but today science has made great strides.
