The association's mission is to develop collaboration between the countries concerned in order to promote the fight against sickle cell disease.

With the members of REDAC:

– The exchange and dissemination of knowledge about sickle cell disease;

– The implementation of research projects, both national and regional, and their publication;

– The transfer of knowledge and technology between member countries.

With scientific partners on the African continent:

– The exchange and dissemination of knowledge on sickle cell disease for the improvement of care between countries of the South;

– Regional agreements in the fight against sickle cell disease.

With local and international authorities, multinational agencies, financial partners and pharmaceutical laboratories:

– The exchange and dissemination of knowledge about sickle cell disease;

– Advocacy for the establishment of an epidemiological database (digital database) in the countries of the sub-region.
