The 10th International Symposium of REDAC (Study Network for Sickle Cell Disease in Central Africa), soon to be REDACO (Study Network for Sickle Cell Disease in Central and Western Africa) officially began on June 3, 2026 in Yamoussoukro (Ivory Coast) and will continue until June 5, 2026.


The opening ceremony was marked by speeches from the Ivorian authorities, the presidents of the organizing committee, Professor Koffi Gustave and Professor @Liliane Siransy, as well as the President of the Scientific Committee and of REDAC - Network for the Study of Sickle Cell Disease in Central Africa , Professor Léon Tshilolo .


This first day was rich in high-level scientific exchanges, bringing together eminent researchers and specialists in sickle cell disease from Africa, Europe, and America. Among the main presentations were:
